- Honorable Mention: Bathroom
- First Place: Kitchen
- First Place: Vacation Home
- First Place: Hospitality
The event was held in Charlotte, NC; also taking place that evening was the IIDA Design Works awards gala in Greensboro, NC. The J. Banks Design team was present at both events.
Founder and Principal, Joni Vanderslice speaks to this achievement, “The quality and amount of work that is being produced by our team is simply amazing and we are pleased the design industry is recognizing our work” Celebrating over three decades of industry experience, Vanderslice has led her design team to create innovative projects around the world. Additionally, Vanderslice and her firm have been a regular fixture on Interior Design magazine’s list of Top 200 Interior Design Giants and Top 75 Hospitality Design Giants.
Esperanza Resort, luxury boutique resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, took first place in the hospitality category. After Hurricane Odile hit Cabo San Lucas, we were hired to reimagine 60 resort villas and create a modern, coastal retreat while closely observing budget and schedule parameters. The design of Esperanza Resort captures the resort’s authentic, unique personality with a bold energy and fresh approach.
