J. Banks Design Group Projects

Our hospitality projects include the design of all interiors of the new Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh/Cary. The scenic wooded area surrounding the hotel in MacGregor Park in Cary, North Carolina, drove many of our design decisions, but with a sophisticated twist.

The Landings Club on Skidaway Island near Savannah, Georgia, is a private luxury golf club dedicated to serving members with an active lifestyle and resort-class amenities in a vacation setting. J. Banks is working with the club on a full renovation of the Franklin Creek pool area, a partial renovation of the Oakridge Fitness Center, and a newly built Marshwood Clubhouse.

Nestled in the hills of northern Sonoma County, California, not far from the charming town of Healdsburg, Mayacama is a private golf and residential community where a vibrant club life is joined by an active sporting life in an indescribably beautiful valley near Santa Rosa. Mayacama is a rare and remarkable experience centered around a grand clubhouse and a championship Jack Nicklaus signature course ranked among the top 100 in America.

Moreland Village is the newest village of Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina, which opened last fall. It acts as the social hub, offering entertainment, activities and gathering spots where both homeowners and resort guests can enjoy authentic Lowcountry living in a more casual setting.

The architecture and design not only celebrate the landscape but also the authentic spirit of Palmetto Bluff, the South and of the Lowcountry. Our interiors incorporate a new vernacular for Palmetto Bluff, with elements found in the Lowcountry, such as tabby walls, reclaimed wood, and custom designed furnishings. The result is casual, sophisticated, timeless, and organic, which allows the buildings to unite with nature instead of competing for attention. The Moreland Village project was a Gold Key Award finalist in 2017.
