Joni Vanderslice Speaking at What’s New What’s Next
Joni Vanderslice was a panel speaker for What’s New What’s Next 2018’s “Global Hospitality: Inspired Design for Public Spaces.” Hosted by EJ Victor and Architectural Digest, AD 100 Designer Ryan Korban, Award Winning Hospitality Designer Joni Vanderslice, and 2016 International Luxury Designer of the Year Greg Natale discussed their inspiration, collaboration and approach to designing for public spaces from resorts to retail to real estate.
Held in the New York Design Center, the 10th annual What’s New, What’s Next is a showcase of new ideas, design, materials, and products. The most anticipated interior design event of the season boasts presentations, book signings and cocktail parties with the industry’s top editors, designers, taste-makers.
Among the other events on the schedule are: “Wanderlust for Color” featuring Meg Braff, Jay Jeffers, Ellen O’Neill, Amanda Lindroth and Newell Turner and sponsored by Veranda magazine; “Bringing Barclay Home,” touted as the Evolutioin of Traditional Design, featuring Barclay Butera and Jill Waage, and sponsored by Traditional Home magazine; “Jeremiah! Exhibition” with Alex Papachristidis, Emily Eerdmans, Dean Rhys Morgan and Mitch Owens; “A Family Constellation” with Ria and Yiouri Augousti, and Patrick Coard and Kifu Augousti; “Building Your Brand” with Margaret Russell, Suzanne Kasler, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Kim Scodro and Hutton Wilkinson; “Sweet Spot” with Leslie Zarra, Marisa Marcantonio, Kathryn Scott, Libby Langdon, Kim Radovich and Kristen Farrell.
Others among the Who’s Who in the design world who were on the schedule included Charlotte Barnes, Ann Bowers, Courtney Coleman, Maureen Footer, Ellen Hamilton and Judy Girod, deemed “Dynamic Women in Design.” Jennifer Cohler Mason, Roric Tobin and Sabrina Fierman discussed the New Layered Look in their session on “Dressing the Bed.” Elle Decor and Palacek presented the Art of Reinvention with Whitney Robinson, Lori Goldstein and Joe D’Urso. And “The New and the Timeless: The Art of Furnishing the Garden was presented by Janice Parker and John Danzer.
